Obama Visits Argentina to Emphasize Clean Energy Investment Opportunity

Argentina’s phoenixlike momentum continues, as former US president Barack Obama returned to the country to stress the importance of renewable energy investment.

Speaking at the second annual Green Economy Summit in Córdoba, Obama highlighted the economic opportunities in wind and solar energy, which are creating new industries and chances for investment, both in Argentina and on a global scale.

Noah Mamet, former US ambassador to Argentina, backed up the support that Obama showed for the country in an article for Buenos Aires Times: “I’ve said for months that I believe that Argentina is now in “Phase 2″, where investors and businesses have finally become comfortable with the idea of investing in Argentina and are now looking for specific deals with local partners.”
