With the skyrocketing adoption rate of mobile devices, every company should have a mobile strategy to win the hearts, minds and business of so-called digital mobile consumers. And many companies do, especially in Latin America, according to a far-reaching global study by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Companies in Latin America appear more primed than many of their global counterparts to go after emerging mobile opportunities.
The Lean Startup concept, developed by Eric Reis, has become well entrenched in the mainstream. Heck, Eric’s even gone on to published a book about it. Though I think it’s the best and most consistent framework currently available for entrepreneurs to methodically evaluate their ventures and solidify their growth engines, what happens when you get a product into the market that customers actually want and, as a result, your business starts to grow? Does the “Lean” focus end there for your business?

IDB launches first loan program targeted at outsourcing services in LatAm

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will provide a loan of ten million dollars, plus three million dollars that will be contributed by the Uruguayan government, in order to foster further development of the nation’s services sector. The IDB office focused on integration and the trade sector in the Southern Cone is based in Montevideo and this helped to promote the regular and fluid interaction between Uruguayan authorities and the IDB representative, and established a permanent dialogue from the very beginning of the loan process.
