U.S. professional services firm TaskUs is building a larger office in Texas with the goal of increasing its employee count to 500 from 60 over the next few months.
The Santa Monica-based firm has leased 32,000 square feet of office space in San Antonio’s historical Finesilver Building.
“The city’s proximity to Austin, its huge young and educated workforce and its reputation as one of the friendliest cities in the U.S. make it the perfect place for TaskUs to grow its team,” the company stated in a press release.
TaskUs first expanded to San Antonio in September 2016 with the launch of a call center to support early-stage technology startups.
The company has reportedly set aside $3.4 million for the expansion in San Antonio and teamed up with a local contractor to spruce up its new office, which will include a wide range of perks to employees, such as complimentary coffee, snacks, on-site yoga classes, massage therapist visits, one-on-one nutritionist visits, and football games.
The facility will also boast a napping room, an on-site gym, library, and a television space.
Up until 2015, most of the company’s employees were based in the Philippines, but is now expanding rapidly in the United States and Latin America.
A large majority of its clients are tech startups in Silicon Valley. Its client roster boasts names such as Uber Technologies, Groupon, Tinder, Periscope, Hootsuite, Eventbrite, Tunein, and Tile, according to the Business Journal.
