People of the Tohono O’odham Nation, a tribe with history that dates back thousands of years, are up in arms about President Trump’s planned border wall between Mexico and the Unites States, which will physically cut their homeland in half if erected.

“If someone came into your house and built a wall in your living room, tell me, how would you feel about that?” Mr. Verlon M. Jose (pictured), vice chairman of the Tohono O’odham Nation, asked in an interview with the New York Times last week.

The tribe has special permission to cross the border from both sides, provided they stay in the reservation. If Trump’s wall is constructed, the future of the tribe will be clouded with uncertainty.
