The team at Nearshore Americas is excited to announce the placement of our very first full-time editorial staffer based in Argentina – his name is Zach Marzouk, and he promises to bring an exciting new perspective on the maturing Nearshore services industry.
Zach previously was a UK-based technology journalist, working publications like ITPro, Cloud Pro and Channel Pro (all published by Dennis Publishing), before arriving in Buenos Aires. For nearly a year, he has served as a Communications Consultant for the “T20 Argentina”, a G20 engagement group that proposes evidence based public policy recommendations to the international forum.
“I am really excited to join a team that has established a great deal of trust and credibility among readers,” says Marzouk. “My focus will be to reach into all the key outsourcing markets of Latin America and the Caribbean and make sure I’m accessible to those who have important insights to share, and stories to tell.”
“Without question, the Southern Cone has made it loud and clear that distance in no way diminishes the quality of Nearshore delivery. With Zach based in Buenos Aires, our team is better able to deliver insight on a region that still is – in my view – under-appreciated,” says Kirk Laughlin, Managing Director and Founder, Nearshore Americas. The markets of Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile comprise the Southern Cone.
“Nearshore Americas is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year – and despite the Nearshore industry’s maturation – we see a persistent demand for the unique content our platform provides. Much of that demand is coming from ‘higher-end’ customers seeking software specialization, digital expertise, forward-looking CX and UX solutions, and automation capabilities. We are committed to providing that specialized knowledge,” says Laughlin.
Zach will be serving as “news editor” at Nearshore Americas, and will be based in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires. He is looking forward to interacting with news sources, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and vendor-organizations in the coming weeks and months. He can be reached at: [email protected]
Editor’s Note: We also would like to congratulate our former Chief Editor, Matt Kendall in landing a new position in Barcelona, Spain. Matt was a highly reliable and committed editor whose deft hand and quick wit will be missed. Good luck Matt in your next endeavors!
