Mexico Set to Design and Manufacture More Electric Cars

More electric cars could soon be whizzing down the streets of Mexico, if the country’s entrepreneurs have anything to say about it. The goals for this group of entrepreneurs is to revitalise the car industry, through the development of electric vehicles that sport components manufactured in Mexico and designed by Mexican designers and engineers, according to MarketPlace.

About 1% of Latin America’s passenger vehicles are electric, but it is growing. According to Forbes, sales of electric vehicles in 2018 were up 90%, with Mexico accounting for nearly half that growth, followed by Colombia and Costa Rica.
