Ambassador of Honduras to the USA

Ambassador Tábora presented his "letters of credence" to President Donald J. Trump on April 24, 2017.

Mr. Tábora served as Executive Director for Central America and Belize at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) from 2015 to 2017. He was President of the Central Bank of Honduras and chaired President Hernandez´s Economic Council from January 2014 to January 2016. Chief of Staff and Vice-Minister of the Presidency for Porfirio Lobo in 2010. Lead the successful negotiation and implementation of a three-year stand-by agreement between Honduras and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Was President of the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL). Among his accolades are: be considered as one of the "100 Most influential people in Central America in 2014 "By the magazine" Estrategia y Negocios "; It was profiled among the "25 most influential people in Central America" by Forbes magazine in 2015, and by América Economía magazine in 2016.

Ambassador Tábora holds a B.A. in Industrial Mechanical Engineering with academic excellence from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras. Master in International Business from Universidad Tecnologica Centroamerica (UNITEC); Master in Public Policy Management from Georgetown University; PhD in Science of Administration, from the Catholic University of Honduras; Postgraduate studies in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; The Advance Management Program (AMP) from Harvard Business School; and postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from Said Business School at Oxford University.

With more than 14 years of experience in the Outsourcing industry Francisco has broad knowledge about the Nearshore region. He has manage operations in many different countries including, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Guatemala among others. In 2017 he took the challenge to promote FDI and create mindshare among customers, enterprises and influencers about Honduras Outsourcing industry and its growing potential.

In his first year in the position of Manager for the Outsourcing Services Industry he successfully attacked 3 new Call Center Operations creating more than 3500 jobs. He holds a Master in Project Management from EAE Business Scholl and a MBA from EUDE.
