Brazil’s IT services firm Stefanini has acquired the IT recruiting and staffing division of the RCG Global Services for an undisclosed price.

This is the third acquisition for the Brazilian firm within the United States over the past three years. The purchase of RCG’s division expands Stefanini’s presence in the Northeast as well as some areas of the South.

Stefanini is one of a few Latin American IT companies with a modest presence in the fast developing markets of India and China.

RCG, according to Stefanini, has adopted an offshore recruiting model and is operating on an ‘efficient, cost-effective and differentiated platform.’ Stefanini began expanding its operation in North America when it acquired TechTeam Global, an IT outsourcing provider, in 2010. A year later, it bought Code X Inc., a technical staffing firm.

RCG Staffing has a significant presence in the Philippines, the Asian country that is rising rapidly in the global outsourcing market. The Philippines is also home to one of Stefanini’s offshore service delivery centers.

The Brazilian company says RCG Staffing will strengthen its recruiting capability and adds to its list of offshore recruiting center in the Asia-Pacific region. Upon closing the deal, Stefanini will maintain offices in key RCG locations, including Houston, TX, and Philadelphia, PA., to address customer need in local markets.

Sao Paulo, Brazil-based Stefanini believes that the acquisition will help gain new opportunities, not only in strategic staffing but also in IT infrastructure outsourcing and application development services.
